Instructions:

1. Nickel and nickel alloy welding wire is mainly used for welding nickel and high nickel alloys, as well as for welding and surfacing dissimilar metals. The groove size and welding process of the welded joint are similar to those of nickel chromium austenitic steel. When welding, the following three points should be noted:
① Nickel and nickel alloys have poor thermal conductivity and are prone to overheating during welding, causing grain growth. Therefore, a smaller welding current should be used during welding operations, and it is best not to sway the welding rod laterally. When finishing, attention should be paid to filling the arc pit and maintaining a lower temperature.
② Nickel is easily brittle by sulfur and lead, forming hot cracks. Therefore, in addition to strictly controlling the sulfur and lead content of the welding rod, careful cleaning should be carried out before welding to remove oil stains, paint, dust, and other dirt on the surface of the base material.
③ Nickel and nickel alloys are highly sensitive to porosity during welding, so the welding rod contains appropriate amounts of deoxidizers such as aluminum, titanium, manganese, etc. During operation, attention should be paid to controlling the length of the arc.
2. General welding requirements for solid welding wire for nickel based alloys:
① The grease, paint, lubricant, marking pen marks, etc. on the surface of the base material must be cleaned thoroughly;
② Minimize heat input as much as possible, pay attention to controlling welding speed, and prevent slag inclusion;
③ Pay attention to the control of interlayer temperature, preferably below 100 ℃;
④ When extinguishing the arc, the arc pit must be filled to prevent the occurrence of arc pit cracks. If it occurs, it needs to be polished with a grinding machine before welding can continue;
⑤ When welding outdoors, windproof measures should be taken when the wind speed exceeds 1.5m/s to prevent the occurrence of air holes.
