1. Introduction to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding and TGF Welding Wire
TIG welding is an arc welding method that uses argon gas as a shielding gas. It is widely used in thin plate welding, all-position welding, and single-sided welding with double-sided formation without backing due to its stable arc, aesthetically pleasing weld bead formation, and high-quality welds. However, when performing single-sided welding with double-sided formation, argon gas shielding is required on the backside of the workpiece. This process can be challenging and costly for large workpieces or pipelines, increasing welding costs, reducing efficiency, and complicating operations.

To address these issues, our company has developed a self-shielded stainless steel TGF welding wire that utilizes slag protection instead of argon gas on the backside of the workpiece. This innovation reduces welding costs and difficulties while improving overall welding quality.

2. Features of TGF Welding Wire
TGF welding wire is a TIG wire coated with a flux layer on the outer surface, enabling slag protection during welding. In addition to meeting all the performance requirements of standard TIG wires, TGF wire offers enhanced slag protection, particularly for the backside of the workpiece during single-sided welding with double-sided formation.
