1、The GB/T 5118-1995 Low-Alloy Steel Electrodes was revised, retaining only carbon-molybdenum steel electrodes and chromium-molybdenum steel electrodes, and a special electrode standard for this category was formulated: GB/T 5118-2012 Heat-Strength Steel Electrodes.
2、Heat-strength steel exhibits chemical stability, sufficient strength at high temperatures, and resistance to gas-pressure corrosion. According to chemical composition and microstructure, heat-strength steel can be classified into pearlitic steel, martensitic steel, ferritic steel, and austenitic steel.
3、The selection of heat-strength steel electrodes is typically based on requirements such as the steel's chemical composition, mechanical properties, and crack resistance. Meanwhile, comprehensive considerations should be made from aspects including the shape of the welding structure, working conditions, stress conditions, and welding equipment.
